X rejected the site API key

For: Confluence admins.

X did not accept the saved token. This can stop posts loading even when the source link is right.

What you may see

“X rejected the site API key”. The editor shows this message. Readers may see a shorter one.

In Configure, Billing shows no credit balance. It asks you to save a Bearer token.

What to do

Check the saved key status in the app’s Configure page.
Check the app’s Bearer Token in the X Developer Console. Use a new token if the saved one is wrong or X no longer lets you use it.
Save and test a public timeline. See Connect your X API key.

Check the result

After you save the new token, preview a public timeline. Check that posts load. Then view the page as a reader. Keep the token out of screenshots and support requests.
